Anoka’s Hometown Holiday Celebration begins on Friday, November 26, and continues  through December 23. Come join us for visits from Santa, carolers, special offers, and plenty of hometown Holiday spirit!

Join Santa at 10:00 a.m. each Saturday morning at Avant Garden (215 East Main Street) for stories, cookies, and hot chocolate. Books provided by J&J O’Donaghue Booksellers.

Hometown Holiday Tree Lighting Festival

pic03Friday, December 4, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (Tree Lighting Ceremony begins at 7:00 p.m.)

Join your friends and neighbors for Anoka’s annual Tree Lighting Ceremony, including carols, hot chocolate, cookies, cider, and hayrides from Roselawn Stables. Expect visits from Santa, the Anoka Royal Ambassadors, and Mayor Phil Rice.

Plus, one lucky child will be chosen at random to be Anoka’s “Official Tree Lighter” for 2009! Arrive early to register to win!

All activities take place near the Anoka City Hall on the corner of Second Avenue and Main Street. Cookies and hot beverages provided by Reynold’s Music Company. Candy canes provided by CVS Pharmacy.
